What is the difference of making your paypal account withdraw from your bank as opposed to your debit card?

When i use paypal, the payment is charged to a rewards card. through paypal. If someone were to hack your paypal account, they could charge a lot of things which is withdrawn from your bank account. That might clean you out with no recourse for you. Your money is gone. But through a credit card and debit card, you would be protected against fraudulent use.
