Panick! I have just paid for something online with the cash on delivery method. What does that mean?!?

Actually, I doubt it will arrive. I am not aware of any delivery service which will do an international COD. You will probably find that the order gets cancelled when they realise the shipping address is not in the USA. Some COD companies also refuse to accept cash - they will require a cheque or a card payment on delivery. Also, goods coming from the USA have to go through customs - so there will be tax and handling charges to pay as well as the cost of the goods and the shipping cost. Read the small print of your order - it should explain such things. However, at a rough guess if the item cost $139 (about £85) you would have to pay getting on for £130 once shipping, VAT and charges have been added.

Right now, $139 U.S. Dollars equals 82.82 British Pounds Sterling. On Thursday (17/04/2014), $139 U.S. = 82.5799 Great Britain Pounds. The exact amount changes constantly. Also, you'll need to pay extra for shipping, customs fees, etc. "Cash on delivery" means you pay at the door when it is delivered.
