How do I apply for a sears credit card now?

Should i get a line of credit through a bank or a sears credit card?

A bank card is better. And yes you need 3 tradelines to get a mortgage. Keep all balances at no more than 30% of your limit. Paying it off monthly is even better.

a regular card would be better than any store card,,, just pay it off fully every month since leaving balances is a fast way to ruin credit,,, don't expect much improvement since you already have 2 forms of credit,,, another form will do very, very little to improve the score,,, for a mortgage it looks best to have 20% to put down and very little debt with a personal loan, just pay it for 1 year,,, do not try to remove it from reports after it's paid off since the benefit of history can last for a decade
