What does it take to be a cop?

I got a ticket from a cop for running a red light, will they take points off ? what else could happen?

what can i do to get the points off? does the insurance go up on my parents car? i don't have a car or insurance and what can i do to get the points off besides traffic school, ...show more

The points go on YOUR license because you were driving. At worst, a logging truck could have been cruising through on a green light and you would be a pancake...or ground round. You were fortunate THIS TIME. They may send you to mandatory driver training school that you have to pass to get your license.
