  I did not take one, but my friend had to go through the DMV's testing for his Class M a few years ago. He was given a knowledge test (pretty easy, mostly just common sense), and he had to complete a skills test. I'm not sure if you'll have to complete a skills test or what-not, as you won't be getting your class M, however if you do have to complete a skills test, make sure to be confident on the bike. Be smart about it, but don't be so safe that you don't look confident or too nervous on the bike. My friend said that after talking with his test administrator, that was the biggest thing she was worried about, and it's a big part of passing the skills test.
