I assume by "music producer" you mean someone who makes music? One way to start is to get a DAW like Fruity Loops ("FL Studio"), Cubase, etc and learn sequencing - how to use MIDI to play virtual instruments (VSTi's), how to layer samples, and how to record yourself. Once you get over the shock of hearing how horrible you sound when recorded, you'll practice more and get better, and that helps you be a better musician overall. Hunting for new samples, finding new plugins, learning how to use EQ's and compressors when mixing, how to record, microphones, audio interfaces... it's a lot to learn. There's more to it - try meeting up with people in your local scene who are into the same type of music that you are. Local bands, local groups, local artists, etc. Tip - get a decent pair of headphones. And by decent, I mean studio-quality, not ****ing Beats by Dre. Sennheiser's HD 280's are a good beginner's choice; something accurate but not with the hyped up treble or bass that you find on normal headphones. I can't give you more specific advice because the question is so broad... but the more you learn, the more guided the question you'll be able to ask, and that will help immensely.
