Consequences because of society's ignorance after WW2?

im trying to write an essay on the post ww2 era and the consequences that were brought on after ww2 because of societys ignorance? Please help!

WW II was the most publicised & clearly followed War, till that date. The whole world was following the course of the War in all its various theatres (Europe, North Africa, SE Asia, the Pacific). The society wasn't ignorant of the War. Also, since most of the able-bodied men participated (fought) all over the globe unlike other wars with a minuscule part of the Society taking to Soldiery, most of the population were aware of what was going on as their fathers, uncles, brothers, sons & nephews were involved. Women in large number also participated in non-combatant support tasks. In Stalingrad the whole city irrespective of age or gender actually fought the battles, as there was no alternative left for them.
