Chemical engineer or biomedical engineer as career choice?

  That sounds like complete rubbish. Accountancy is a very broad area and while it is well paid, most accountants are not making the money that the mega accountants do, much like most people in banks or music or anything, don't make the money that the top 1% make. And in fact it isn't just a stereotype, accountancy really is boring. I have personally met more people who gave up accountancy because it was so dull than I have actual accountants. As for retail, you have to be kidding. Unless you are Lord Sainsbury forget it.
