If we increase the amount of adsorbent, will this results into increase in the efficiency of adsorbent?

For ex: suppose 2 gm of adsorbent of carbon black in present , if we make it 8gm , will that result into increase in the efficiency of adsorption ???

It depends on the total surface area, if you make a large ball out of it, it will be not be that efficient in proportion. The average thickness should be such that the diffusion can take place just through the half way of the average thickness.
