What percentage of fans at National Football League (NFL) and/or Major League Baseball games travel to the game and stay at a hotel?

Answer:
I realize it is outside the scope of the question in that it is NCAA football, but the University of Florida did a study of the football fan base and noted that nearly half their sample were tourists. Tourist, as used in that context, is someone engaging in tourism, which is a stay in a place over 24 hours. In the mid-1990's, a Japanese researcher coined the term 'sport excursionist' to describe those who traveled to a sporting event and did not stay overnight. I am considering doing my Master's thesis in this area, as many of the citations for sport tourism are 10+ years old. Even if I just repeat the existing research and update it, it'd be nice to have fresher numbers.
