What is the difference between a real and diminished image? thanks in advance :)?

    real images are generally inverted and virtual images are upright. Anyway, real images can literally be projected onto a screen. You can turn all the lights off and hold a light source in front of a concave mirror. if you get the object in the right position outside of the focal point, as you know with the spherical mirror equation, you have a real image in front of the mirror. You can literally hold a sheet of white copy paper in the right position in front of your hand and see the light and hand on the paper--you can see the flesh colors; it's not just a shadow. You may be able to find this demonstrated in videos online--without seeing this example for myself in real life, I may never really have understood the meaning of that definition!
