For Plant A, there are low levels of absorption in the 500-550 nm range, meaning that plant A is reflecting green light and will appear green (the leaves are absorbing most of the violet, blue, yellow, and orange light). For Plant B, the there are low levels of absorption of light in the 650 nm range, meaning that plant B will appear orange. b) at 650 nm: Plant A would be absorbing a lot of light, and therefore performing a lot of photosynthesis (the energy is absorbed because it can be used). But Plant B has low absorption at this wavelength - most of that energy is be reflected back instead of used, so Plant B would have a lower level of oxygen production. at 500 nm: Plant A has low levels of absorption, indicating low levels of photosynthesis and low levels of oxygen production. Plant B has high levels of absorption, indicating high levels of photosynthesis and high levels of oxygen production. at 450 nm: Plant A has high levels of absorption, indicating high levels of photosynthesis and high levels of oxygen production. Plant B also has medium-high levels of absorption, so will have medium levels of photosynthesis and a medium level of oxygen production.
