If you win and bid on eBay and don't buy it, what happens?

I've won a laptop on eBay but now I had to spend my money on something else and dont have any cash ATM. I'll not be able to purchase that laptop anymore. I don't think ...show more

the seller will be angry because you cost them money for the ad, and their time when it could have been sold and they could have their money already. You'd get a negative from Ebay. You'd have to inform the seller and eBay of your mistake. Sometimes, depending on how the purchase was made you might see that money removed from your account and your account (if it's a checking/debit account or credit card) and you're overdrawn you'd owe an extra $70 and your account would be closed until you come up with the money. For future information know that you can't back out of "contracts" and that if you got a lease or something you'd get stuck paying for a year.
