  The term righteousness implies doing the most right thing! Homosexuality is not doing the right thing if one takes a look at the big picture. It reduces the total genetic pool by deletion of resources. It also reduces the birthrate per couple below that which is statistically needed for a population to be self sustaining. One of the basic concepts in civilization is that a civilization in order to survive will have rules that insures that civilizations total welfare and that any member of that society must be will to perform what ever function is required for survival of the group. Homosexuality fails this test. Historically the effects of the open endorsement of homosexuality can be seen. It's was part of the factors that lead to a decrease in the upper and middle class portions of the Greek and Roman empires. Now I don't hate gay's! But I do know from the standpoint of what is best for a civilization and what history can show us- that homosexuality is detrimental to any civilization that openly endorses or encourages it practice. The fact God says it is a "No-no" is because of this fact! The law of Moses specify states that the reasons for those laws was so that the nation if Israel would be healthy. The reason Christianity restates them is because Christians are to be a benefit to a society. The point is this- the reason God hates it is because of the detrimental impact such practices have when looked at them in the long term instead of the short term.
