  Attention to detail would be a good start. For example, let's take a look at what you have just typed. To start with, "i was only ..." should have been "I was only ...". The single word "I" should never be written in lower case and that should be second nature to you by now. There's no excuse for that. Browsers such as Firefox will even point out that sort of mistake for you. You use the words "analyse" and "analyzing". That is inconsistent spelling and the latter is an American spelling. That should have been a semi-colon after the "analysing poetry", rather than a comma. As far as I remember, Wilfred Owen's poem is called "Dulce et Decorum est", which requires capital letters because it is a named poem. You also write "soo" as an exaggerated form of "so". That's fine for Yahoo Answers, but it's a bad habit to get into when you are trying to get those extra marks. I know that this is only an internet forum, so it's not worth doing an exhaustive analysis of what you have written, but you should be getting the point by now. If you don't get used to writing properly all the time and making sure that your English is always good and correct then you will make the same mistakes in your exams, which will cost you that elusive A* mark. By the way, how can A- only be 1 mark away from an A* mark? You go from A- to A and than on to A*. You were 1 mark away from an A, not an A*.
