Can I be an astronaut if I take bsc physics and later msc?

Should one take Integrated MSc Physics solely on the basis of his/her interest in popular physics and the desire to do research?

  • Answer:

There are a lot of reasons why someone is interested in a particular field. That being said, I highly suggest that you go through Physics as it is ( that is through the mathematics ) in a semi rigorous fashion. Basing one's decision on popular science is not very wise.

Interest and Passion are two different things. Interest means having a superficial idea of the topic and being fascinated by it.Passion on the other hand means that you have actually dwelt upon the technical details of a topic. You get the 'Feel' of it.You can imagine yourself studying more of that in the future. So before deciding anything, Actually go through the course structure offered by BITS.Ping me for details.Popular Physics is too General a topic to be interested in.Also Research is not something you can do just like that.It requires a lot of passion, hard work, perseverance etc.You get my point.Ask people who are actually doing research in Physics to get an idea of how it's like.
