How fast do people answer on Yahoo answers?

If you make your own yahoo answers profile private, then how do people answer your asked questions?

    Privacy only means that people can't look through the Q&A list on your profile. The questions are visible to anyone reading the section(s) where you post them.

When you make them private that is just on your profile. All your Q&A will still be posted on the open site so others can see and answer them

They see them in the list of questions on the site. The privacy is only on your own YA profile page.

They would see your questions when they appear in the category you post them or by using a keyword search.

Your questions are listed in the Recent questions of the sub-category your question was posted to. That is INDEPENDENT for YA activity profile which you CAN make private if you want to. Making your activity private DOES NOT HIDE YOUR QUESTIONS on Recent question list. THAT is how people can answer your questions even if you make your YA activity private. WHY is this so hard to understand? THAT is what I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. If you do NOT want your questions to be answered, why are spending 5 points EVERY TIME YOU ASK A QUESTION ON YA. Just because you want a SPECIFIC YA community member to answer your questions. EMAIL THEM to ask questions, IF they have their email enabled.
