Why won't my laptop allow me to re-install iTunes?

    I had a friend with a similar issue when she updated her iPhone to iOS 7. iTunes just needed to update and it crashed while installing. Since windows is so shitty, the only way to finish installing it was to restore the whole machine.

There are 2 things that come into mind here. 1: Your installer is a corrupt copy that needs to be replaced with another one downloaded 2: Your files and registry entries for iTunes are still installed on your machine, and ow the installer is having conflicts as a result. Try scanning out your computer's registry for any invalid or corrupted registry entries, then re-install iTunes with another installer downloaded from Apple. Just make sure you download the correct version.

Maybe your laptop is not compatible with the new version or iTunes. Try and install an older version of iTunes and see if that works.
