Why do cons act as if poverty is something new?

50 years of welfare programs and we still have beggars and hobos.

Poverty is not new. The only difference is, we've spent Trillions over the years and poverty is still just as prevalent as ever. So naturally the Liberal solution is to throw more money at a failing system, right?

Just wondering where liberals like you get these ignorant notions....please, help us out. Ed Shultz? Chris Matthews? Rachel Maddow?

We don't. Why do liberals think that throwing money at the problem will solve it? We've spend MORE and more on the War on Poverty...and yet MORE people are in poverty than when that "war" began.

Poverty? Something new? Heck, poverty doesn't even exist in America accept by CHOICE. We have the richest 'poor' in the world. They have homes, food, health care and an allowance sufficient to own a flat screen TV and take the little ones to a major amusement park for vacation every summer. Seriously, poverty? You won't find poverty in America. It simply doesn't exist. Poor? Yeah, but so comfortable in their 'poverty' that they have absolutely no desire or intention to change their state of affairs. And why would they? They're quite comfortable and well cared for in their 'poverty'. You want to see poverty, you need to get out of the U.S. So, please. Don't pedal this poverty. It simply won't fly.

We don't act that way.

For many Cons who have lived an entitled lifestyle, poverty is something new & a novelty. Let them eat cake.

I have known since being a small child that poverty exists, I was poor before I wasn't. Why do you think only liberals know what poverty is ? Is that what your masters teach you ? No wonder you guys are so far out of touch with reality.

They just forget how high the crime rate was back then.
