Rear (Center) View Mirror fell off, what should I use to attach it back on?

My mother somehow managed to detach the rear view mirror. I'm now trying to attach it back on, but not sure what to use. I tried strong glue, double sided tapes but it still falls ...show more

When it happened to my car years back, I got some specialist rearview mirror glue from Halfords. Clean both surfaces really well before reattaching.
