What are the options I have to do B.Tech in engineering from good university? I am from India and have screwed up my chances of getting into my favorite branch in IITs or BITS. I would like to study in Europe or US

Due to some problems, I couldn't score much in BITSAT and dont think I will do well in BITSAT I am on the brink of ruining my career. I feel suicidal now, having worked for 2-3 years, making lots of sacrifices, and failing in the end. I cant let just a sheet of paper to decide my future. In India, we have to give a national level exam and are allotted a stream of study based on our national rank, instead of interest. I have intense interest in Computer Science and engineering but for getting that stream i need to be in top 100 among 1,50,000 students. But unfortunately I have screwed up my chances of being there. I cant allow other mediocre institutes of India to kill my potential and future. I would like to know what options do I have in foreign universities of Europe or US, having 82% in 12th board exam. I am research oriented guy, with intense in science and philosophy. I can work for 18 hrs a day, persevere when most guys give up, my colleagues and family believe i am intelligent and they thought I deserve to be in top IIT. I am from middle class family and its bit difficult for me financially but I will try my best to fund myself by giving scholarship tests and doing part time jobs. BUt I have no idea of how can i reach in foreign universities.

Answer:
I cant allow other mediocre institutes of India to kill my potential and future. Change your attitude before its too late. Every year, around 10000 people get a JEE rank. The next 50000 candidates all think like you- what could have been if they had luck on their side. And you think your family members and your colleagues know the other 400000 kids in India, that they predict you will be in the top ranks while competing with them. Face it, JEE is not about whether you're good or not, it's about how good you are as compared to other people. And regarding working for 18 hrs. a day and persevering, why don't you apply these skills at the next best place where you are admitted. You are ultimately going to get a college according to the potential you have shown in the exams. This talk about having lots of potential is something every 18 year old thinks about himself, there's nothing unique or special about it. Its upto you if you think your life will be a waste over there, it might actually be. Or if you think you can work my way out, maybe you can do that too.
