I am a third year student pursuing my BE from BITS, Pilani. I am interested in giving the civil services exam.What should be my strategy to prepare and how should I balance my preparation with backup options like Placements? CAT?

I can't advise you on the preparation for Civil Services but first decide on w8 u want to do i.e Civil Service/CAT/Job,etc..I think you shouldn't be worrying about backup options given u r from BITS Pilani, it wouldn't be hard to find a job afterwards..also u can CAT afterwards with 6 months preparation..my main point is decide w8 u want to do and be very sure about it..you have much amount of time now in college where u can think, ask your friends, ask your seniors and hence make a thoughtful decision..after passing out, u will be all on your own and making a good decision would be tough..so please decide on your path and give ur 100% in it..rest everything will be taken care of.
