What can you do with your points on yahoo answers?
-
Okay so I have almost 300 points on yahoo answers for answering many questions... can you redeem them or something? ... whats the point of the points?
-
Answer:
These points, in fact, do not give anything beyond possibility, to spend them on new questions. PS terribly hurt if some overzealous administrator for no reason, deletes your by this question, and also for no reason takes you 10 points.:-(

Points have no monetary value and there are no prizes, no cigars no nada, it's really just the satisfaction of helping others, no strings attached, or possibly bragging rights (big deal). There are seven levels, more points give you more participation rights so it can also be an ego thing and keep us interested. This will help you get started. To move up answer lots of questions, the maximum you can do every day trying for best answer which gives you ten points, and avoid asking questions that costs you five points. When you ask a question be sure to return and pick a best answer to get 3 points back.Click the link below to see the complete points setup. Keep this in mind. Yahoo! Answers' points is just a point-based reward system that is meant to encourage active participation and reward great answers. This in turn allows other users of the platform to recognize how active and helpful you've been. The number of points you have will determine your level and your level determines what actions you are allowed to take. In reality, you can't use your points for buying or redeeming anything at all.

There is no reason. You can't do anything with them. Its more for show than anything and a way to increase levels.

Brag. Boast. Ask questions. Brag. Ask questions. Thump chest in pride.

No,this is a free site with no money involved unless you are a paying advertiser.

Nothing at all. Besides being given a rank on overall or weekly leaderboard there is no use at all. It's empty effort.
Math
you need them to ask questions

No point in getting points and even if you lose some by being reported there is really little point in worrying about it. At the end of the day it's totally pointless.
