I think you are about 25 years too late to the party. The Poconos have gotten very expensive in the last 30 years as people have moved in from New Jersey and New York. Also in that time, as new schools had to be built for all those new kids, school taxes have gone through the roof. It is very rare to see a house in the Poconos anymore for under $100k. And those are usually bungalows that are fixer-uppers.
