What is it like to be a full time college student?

  • I was wondering what a typical schedule is for a full time college student, particularly a junior college student. I know it varies from school to school, but on a normal school week ...show more

  • Answer:

    1) Don't take any class that starts before 10:00 am. 2) Take night classes. The teachers are nicer, the students are nice, and you get the day to do what you wish. 3) If you can, take a class that is 3 hrs long instead of say, 3 days a week 1 hr/day. 4) Don't take the full load of 12 units for the first few semesters. Take 9 units or so. Maybe even 6. 5) Take kayaking, surfing, scuba diving, gymnastics, swimming, lifeguarding, etc! 6) Don't take classes like 'Psychology 101' or 'History 101" first. Take "Psychology 103: The study of blah blah blah." or "History 106: The History of Rock-n-Roll". Don't get bogged down in those entry level 101 classes. Zzzzz. 7) Take a film class, voice 101 class (w/an instructor who is the same gender as you & you don't have to pick what songs u sing). 8) If you take a class like 'Sailing" on a credit/no credit basis then you can NOT take the final, and theeen you get to re-take Sailing 101...AGAIN! YAAAY! Over & over & over & over! You just sail and sail and sail every semester!! I spent 37 hrs/week EVERY week studying JUST Anatomy, 30 hrs wk studying Microbiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, & Pathophysiology.
