I would like to know some easy colleges to get into?

What would people in West and America think if they get to know some engineering colleges in South India restrict interaction between opposite sex?

  • I am not too sure about other parts of India but few colleges in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu have this rule

  • Answer:

Employers would not care about the social lives of potential employees.  Unless the applicants were likely to engage in sexual harassment or get arrested, most employers simply do not care about their employees' private lives. They would test graduates of the engineering colleges for their skills.  If they can solve the required problems and work cheaply, they would be welcome as employees. The graduates might be a little backward in terms of dating skills, but that is another story.

Well it's quite true that some universities in South India has such restrictions. My university had no such nonsense. I personally think such restrictions are heights of backwardness. I also think the reason for the university management to take such drastic measures is because they think that students can get romantically involved and would lose focus on their studies that amounts to all sorts of troubles. There has been isolated incidents were the couples involved run away from their homes and even attempted suicides because they couldn't succeed in their "love" affair. I think it has partly to do with the movie culture in India mixed into reality. If I could dig even a bit deeper it's just not only in the university level but also at high school level students have such restrictions.  A simple matter of fact is that the more you restrict it's going to be disastrous for the management in terms of rebellious behaviours. It has been 6-7  years since I have graduated and still hear about these moronic restrictions. The west would feel absolutely shocked by these impositions on students. I sincerely believe the university management has to look at how to improve their quality of education rather than going to to stone age.  I also have personally seen a lot of Indian men and women have difficulty opening up to an opposite gender in a workplace or even when they go abroad for studies or onsite work. It takes a long time for them to come out of their shell and open up. I believe it's a serious which has to be addressed.
