Because hes in his last years in office. If there was no term limit on the presidency, if he were allowed to run for a third term, they'd still cover for him. What with his presidency coming to an end, the liberals gave little to no use for him anymore. They did the same thing for clinton. Scandal after scandal. Lies after lies. They covered for him for almost the entire 8 years until his last few months in office. Now its time for them to pave the way for the next democrat presidential nominee who they again will cheerlead and cover for.
