What is the difference between types of degrees?

I am coming towards the end of year 12 and an beginning to look at where to go to study for an Economics degree and keep seeing a BA, BSc, BAEng & MEng degrees and am unsure what the ...show more

A BA is a a Bachelor of Arts degree, BSc is a bachelor of science and a BAEng is a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in engineering. A MEng is a Master's of Engineering, which is a graduate degree meaning you cannot enter this program without some form of required credits from a undergrad degree (all bachelor degrees are undergrad degrees). Neither one is particularly better than the others but it depends on what you want to do. You say you want to go into stockbroking... What would be most helpful for you would be to get a BA with a major in economics, or a BBA ( bachelor of business administration)... For a BBA, I'd recommend a marketing major but really any major within this program will work well for your future plans.
