  • Answer:

Take all possible advanced math classes, that's a good basis that will be of help in the future -- you can pick up any programming skills while at work, but with in-depth knowledge of math theory it'll be easy for you to orientate in most complex stuff. One more thing: make sure you are good with that intel's 800 pages book on their proc commands. If going thru it requires a whole course, it's ok.

Most organizations that come for campus interviews insist on a consistent first class academic record (usually 60%) right from school. CGPA of 6.5 might be OK. Anyway, unless you muck up your internship (one full sem usually) your CGPA might end up higher. Choose internship in the 7th sem and simultaneously prepare for dong well in the campus recruitment by preparing for aptitude tests etc. OK
