well Bear Grylls never told he wanted to join the Indian Army, he just told that on his trip to India he spent some time with the Indian Army. Here are the exact words told by him to an interview with the Hindustan Times : " I spent quite some time in India before I joined the army. I went out there climbing, and up in West Bengal and all around Darjeeling. I love India. We were in Calcutta for a while and then we were with the Indian Army as well. It’s a place I really love, and I’m really looking forward to getting back there for a long time." I dont think so ,because to join indian army though forieghn origin is possible in certain case if their gov send request and that is for limited period ,Bear gyrlls come to india in mehgalaya in which he shows the world about cherapungi world most heavly raining place in the world.
