You smile, get eye contact and welcome them to the shop in a strong, friendly voice. You then ask if you can help them today, and if not, remind them that should they need help, you are there for them. Do that and you got the job! :)

I am in sales marketing from last 6 year. What i do is get a shop address of the competitor where i enter as a sales man. And then asked him about the way to that shop. Like i will asked as cues me can you let me know where is rajesh store. As he is competitor he will surely asked for what you want to meet. Then conversation start and i take him in Bottle. Try it and answer this same answer in interview they will amazed to know this.
