Is stock of Diethelm Keller Group traded in SWX Swiss Exchange?

Can a stock exchange company go bust?

  • i've just found out today via random googling that stock exchange themselves are actually companies that is traded in their own exchange. for example, the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Stock_Exchange_Group then what will happen if this company stock goes bankrupt? what will happen to all these securities that are traded in them? will they all go bust or stuck?

  • Answer:

A stock exchange goes belly up, all the companies traded on it simply would move to another exchange the same way if a grocery store chain went out of business there'd be other places to buy your can of beans.
