How do you clear everything off a Mac as if it were new?

How do i Reset a mac bookpro computer? i want to remove everything from it and reset it.?

  Like this for OS 10.6.8.... – Open System Preferences > Accounts. – Click the padlock icon and type her password. – Click the + sign and create your own account, being careful to set it to be "Administrator". – Write down your new password. – Quit System Preferences; if it asks about auto-login, agree to turn that off. – Restart. Log in as you. – Open System Preferences > Accounts. – Click the padlock icon and type your password. – Select her account. – Click the - sign to delete her. All of her stuff (music, photos, movies, Word documents, preferences) is in her account, so she will be deleted! If you hate any of the apps she installed, use the uninstaller that came with those apps to remove them or for simple apps that were not actually installed, just drag the app file to the trash. <0-0>
