Studying Aboard in the United States?

Are you studying English in the United States of America?

    No, but I am a non-native speaker studying computer science in the United-States of America. People often assume that improving my English was a motivation for coming here, or at least that it's allowed to improve significantly, but both of these things are untrue. Sure, I've learned a couple words like "jalapeño", and I've learned to pronounce some words like "southern" and "brothel" correctly, but by and large I haven't improved that much, simply because my English was pretty good to begin with. In fact, I was obsessed with living in the United-States since I was about 15, and perfecting my English was one of the steps towards fulfilling that goal.

i learned English in school with horrible teachers .then i move to New York at 21 and i practice everyday for 10 years .. then i start  to speak english again since 9 years in California . but the fact that i am answering questions in Quora gave the right boost ,i needed .my vocabulary improve . sometime i don't get the jokes completely .. but i will never never ..loose my french accent . i try everything... ps : if you ear about a new pill .i take it:)
