Are there any stock photo companies in Manila?

Can you recommend a good stock photo API for iPhone (mobile) apps?

  • Imagine a person writes a message to share with friends, or even a tweet, then, instead of adding their own image, they can add an image from a stock photo service. The requirement would be that you can't really tell the images come from a stock photo service, to maintain continuity. Also this stock photo API would allow you to search different topics etc. I'd hope it's cheap, otherwise I might not be able to use it.

  • Answer:

Here are some I have used. Getty Images - http://www.gettyimages.in/ Pond5 - http://www.pond5.com/ BigStock - http://www.bigstockphoto.com/ All of the above have APIs. Pond5 & Getty has varying prices I think. BigStock has fixed set of prices based on resolution. You may want to search on those and look for price ranges.

Try http://yaymicro.com/api The YAY API is totally white label (custom watermarks) and offers flexible pricing. 4 million images and counting. Yay has the only available iPad app for stock-photo images offering inApp purchases built on this. Let me know if you need more information :) With the Yay API you can actually make money yourself on every sale. Kind Regards,
