Answer:
What ecological problems? There has been no increase in hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, floods, or decrease in crop production. In fact, due to technological advancements, crop production has been increasing. But I do agree that we should start to limit or CO2 emissions. So what to do? Individually: 1.) reuse, recycle, reduce what you use. It saves you money and helps the environment. 2.) Buy fuel efficient, reliable cars. This also saves you money. 3.) save up for and place solar panels on your house. This will also save you money in the long run. Nationally: 1.) Nuclear power. We should build many nuclear power plants using the same desing and thereby reducing the construction cost. We should allow the reuse of spent fuel rods as they do in France. We should set aside locations for the power plants that are immune from local political interference. These actions would make nuclear power cheaper than coal power. Then as a coal plant hits 30 years and is no longer viable, replace it with a nuclear power plant. This would eliminate coal power in 30 years or less. 2.) Solar power. It is doing great. Right now it is becoming 10% cheaper every year. Help maintain this trend and solar power will take a huge chunk of the needed power load. 3.) Work toward making e-cars affordable. Edit: Ironically, while I do not believe that AGW is nearly the problem that the warmers think it is, I have solutions. They propose assinine taxes in which they can't tell you how long it will take to see how much reduction. Nor can they tell you the cost. They induce panic by exaggerating the problem and have the audacity not to even bring a solution to the table.

First you ask why we think there is a problem and then you suggest you know there is. You don't and there isn't. At least my position has the benefit of some evidence to back it up.
