  degree is never something important factor that will block you from what you want...for scientists, knowledge and ideas matter, for actors sensation, techniques, and social network matter... if degrees itself matters ,that world is crazy ...but sorry i don't know whether a degree will bring you what you need ...may be you should investigate about how actors develop... most important thing before you chose any way...you need to ask your self, do you really want to devote yourself into that and enjoy it ? passion matters most , much more important than skills, social networks,financial factors , ..and also degrees...
