Where does Google get its university acceptance rate statistics?

• I was recently looking at universities for going to grad school and I noticed this: If you look carefully you will notice the "Acceptance rate" statistics and these are there for most known universities. Where does google get these statistics from? Is it just from analyzing data from websites or is there a consolidated database from where google pulls this particular data? This is data that I needed for a project I wanted to do during my under-grad but couldn't because of lack of data. So, is there a way I can get this without scraping it from Google? Note: Wow.
