What are some interesting stories heard in Kota/Hyderabad about IITs, IIT JEE and IIT JEE toppers?

  • I am a Kota product myself. During my stay in Kota I used to hear interesting stories about IIT, IIT JEE and IIT JEE toppers in particular. But I have forgotten most of them. Here are some such accounts about a particular person. What are some such interesting stories heard in Kota/Hyderabad ? Some interesting stories about the Coaching Gurus/Teachers will also be appreciated.

VKB told a story about topper from 2002 or 2001 (I do not want to take name or google the year), having the same waist size as his chair. Now he looks very lean in his picture on his webpage but the picture which was on Bansal's promotional material seemed to agree with this observation. But you have to take all stories from VKB with  grain of salt.

The recent hot news from kota is about a boy who secured about 460th rank while studing from a cell of jail in kota where his father is a convict. This story is really shocking as well as quite inspirational.
