Can I make smaller PNG video compression with alpha channel? A 22 second pre-keyed 1080p 23.976 fps video is almost a 1GB. How can I reduce the file size?

Answer:
Look into the GoPro Cineform codec. It can preserve alpha and is designed for fast playback to facilitate non linear editing. Also, it has bits per RGB channels exceeding the PNG 24 bit color. However, the file sizes are large because it is a frame by frame codec. The hard truth about working in video is that you need high capacity fast drives. No way to escape this if you want quality. To get the Cineform codec these days all you have to do is download the GoPro Cineform editor for free, and the codec will show up on your other video editing software. Correct me here if that is not up to date information.
