Expatriate Life: What are the typical experiences of a black American living and/or traveling in Central/South America, and how do they typically compare or contrast with the typical experiences of a white American?

• How do their experiences typically differ from white Americans in terms of relationships with a given country's locals, platonic, romantic, or otherwise? How are they generally perceived by the people? And in what ways do any specific differences in these experiences typically vary from country to country? Any anecdotes on personal experiences would also be appreciated.
