HOW DO I BECOME A SPORTBIKE RACER OR DIRTBIKE RACER?

Either one is very expensive to start. You gotta buy the machine, gear, and tool(unless you pay someone to work on it). Then there is gas, travel expenses. I race CC and Enduro for fun. D36 number one year 120.00 AMA card one year 75.00 Transponder 55.00. Each race I enter is 65-105 that just gets me to the start line. I race yz250f 08 used. 3k. 3 pairs of motocross boots 250 each. Helmet 550. Two race jersey's 65 each, matching pants 85 each. Tires 120 bucks each. Gloves 24-45 a set. Ten pair. I sleep in a tent or my truck when I race. Can't afford the hotel. Bring my own food. 104 octane race fuel 12 bucks a gallon. That's just the tip off the ice burg. Now my saving grace is I do all my own bike work. Master tech 17plus years. Ps. I own 2 dirt bikes, 1 quad, and street bike. Only use one for racing.

Your too young to race sport bikes(need a motorcycle drivers license + a lot more money, a good dirt bike will cost 3,000$+ while a good sport bike is 25,000$+) but you can race dirt bikes. First of all, you need to buy a dirt bike. If you are really interested than you are going to need your parents support, you can't get a cheap bike as you need to be able to accelerate fast, have a high top speed, excellent suspension etc. You also need to find a track(s) near you to practice on. One you get a bike and all the safety gear practice at the tracks. Than once you feel confident in your riding, than start entering into competitions. Start at low level competitions and work your way up.
