Well yeah you can, just go get some practice and sign up for one. You might not make it to the x games but since that is not a huge issue to you I think it would be fun.

Some of the local rail jams have dudes approaching 40 still in the running. Go for it.

Do practice as this will enhance your confidence. As you already know the snowboarding so i don't think it would be more difficult for you. And 23 is not too young while it is right age of doing such things.
