    You must file your unemployment claim with Texas as that is where you paid everything into. Also, you probably will never see that 600 bucks and it is likely not even worth going to small claims court as the cost to sue would be greater than the money you are owed. Best to just eat the money and file your unemployment threw the correct state. Best of luck.

Of course it has been denied. You were never employed in California, which means you and your employer never paid a dime into California's unemployment system. Just like any civil suit you might file against your employer to recover unpaid expenses, your unemployment claim would have to be filed in Texas. Then again,, the chances that this company ever paid a dime in taxes is doubtful.
