Finding best bass fishing spots?
-
So i am getting into bass fishing, and am wondering how to find good bass lakes. What do you look for generally when trying a new pond or lake?
-
Answer:
A good amount of weedy and/or woody structure, a good population of Bluegill and/or Shad/Shiner, and (obviously) a good population of Bass. How do you find out what species of fish lives in a lake/river? Your States DNR website should have stocking and fish population reports available online for most lakes/rivers. Otherwise, do some investigating online and when ALL ELSE FAILS go try fishing the lake/river/pond and find out for yourself! Hope this helps?!
