What is the depth of knowledge required for the numerical methods MSc /PhD interview with the SERC (Supercomputer Education and Research Centre) at IISc?

The research brochure for 2014 has been released. As per that Basic Area Subjects required for Computational Science are Programming, Linear Algebra, and Numerical Methods. I am good at Linear algebra. Any idea about the depth of Numerical methods required, since one of my preferred lab comes under computational science?
