How can I delete smart friend lists on Facebook?

You can't currently delete smart friend lists, but you can hide them from your left nav.

What will it take to get Facebook to allow deletions of what they force on us?  A mass mailing?  Publicity?  A class action suit?

You have the option to archive your smart lists. When you archive a lists, it will no longer appear on your home page. You also won't see an option to share posts with this list. If you change your mind, you can easily restore the list from your lists page. To archive a smart list: Go to your lists page (Home > Lists > More) Click on name of the list you want to archive Click on the Manage List dropdown and select Archive List More on: https://www.facebook.com/help/friends/lists

I have so many friends on Facebook. At the time of accepting I use a simple method to accept friend requests on my Facebook.
