I want to work at a Boston Pizza as a hostess. Do servers share their tips with the rest of the staff?

In Canada, our service staff in most place chains and private are involved with a tip fund, where they give $5 a shift to a tip fund, at the end of the week it is divided between the host/hostess, bus people and some time service bar staff, not all do this but places like Boston Pizza, Swiss Chalet, Montanas, Kelsey and others do. If you work 2-4 shifts you could make $20-30 extra. I was a chef in Hotels, Restaurant s and Clubs, it has been done on some scale for years even in the 1970's when I started out, but as your not working for tips, a hostess/host is paid the regular minimum wage, $10.25 in ON, it differs in other provinces, most waitstaff are paid $1-2.00 below that in any province..

Dear, In today's scenario. You will surely find some good people who are ready to help you with all they have. however, in Hotels or Pizza Corners, the servers after a small span of time and experience learn on how to act upon a situation accordingly with different people. Every one has his/her own nature and one has to learn to tackle them with all but one way of Care and with proper attention. Rest you can do wonders by believing yourself as a perfect server already, who knows already how to care and serve.
