It is not clear to me what you mean when you say "mold base" If you mean just a flat surface, then use a board instead? Monster Clay is an oil moistened sulfur free clay which makes it good for silicone molding compound. You can use additional oil to increase likelihood of good separation - like spray vegetable cooking fat. You can also use talcum powder which would be non-slip but would also slightly contaminate the clay for reuse.
