Downtown has arguably the best live music you're going to find. Places like Rippys, Paradise Park, and Honky Tonk Central have great live music all the time that generally features more modern country. If you want the old school, slide guitar, country music sound Roberts Western World and Tootsies across the street from the aforementioned bars are your places to go. If you want to be closer to West End than downtown I might suggest you checking out Division Street. Winners is a fun karaoke spot, losers generally has great live music, and red door and rebar are great places to get drunk.

Paradise Park downtown offers great burgers and live music, although their beer selection is average. Blackstone Bar & Brewery in West End Ave in midtown offers great burgers and local beers, although we were there in the middle of the day so I don't know if they do music.
